I thought I posted a guide to do this back in 2010.. let me look it up.

"Hello all. New to my MB and new to the forum. Any luck on this topic? I also saw someone asking about replacing the down facing courtesy lights on the side mirrors. Ultimately this is my goal. Thank you in advance!"
My poor car, it's getting old! So the disc on the steering wheel that controls the volume has had a bit of the black surface chip off, revealing the white plastic disc beneath it, as well as my driver's side window switch. The black material they used to coat this seems pretty industry specific, but I'd really like to just be able to reapply it, I'm sure it applies like a paint, rather than replace it. Does anyone know of a replacement paint for these parts
Is anyone else thinking of picking this up? I got a quote from my dealership on these parts: 207 817 0416 New Grille 166 900 2808 Wiring Harness 207 820 0013 Illuminated Star They wanted $600 for the parts, $1,000 installed. I've always had a grill upgrade on the back of my mind, but this seems a bit expensive, even if I do the install myself. Any chance anyone else finds a better price on the parts?
I thought about this before I test drove the CLA. The interior is just way too cheap, I don't think they'll improve that much with the AMG version. It'll still be the same plastic built interior with just one plank of trim panel on the dash.

"I will probably take cla 45 amg into consideration for now. Need a test drive first."

I saw something about it on a japanese forum (COMAND is manufactured by Mitsubishi I think) like a year or two ago.. I was hoping someone else had seen, or better yet performed this one. I guess it's time to play internet detective. Here's a pretty good reference:
Hard Drive Replacement
"I was curious if anyone has manged to do a HDD Swap on their COMAND unit to get more than 10GB available to the music register? I've got my dash coming off today because the SRS detector corroded or something and needs to be cleaned and greased, and I figured I might give it a shot.. I'm not sure if they're using a IDE or SATA connector.. I'm hoping it's SATA with an SSD back there, because that's what I was planning to replace it with. I'm just wondering if anyone can confirm the hardware specs and filesystem so I can prep or just abandon it if it's an obsolete or proprietary thing that I won't be able to upgrade. It would be awesome if I could replace their like 60GB drive with a 280GB SSD and then resize the music register partition to like 200GB.."

Thanks for this thread, great list. I just picked up a used 2004 ML 500, on the tail end of a CPO warranty. I'll make sure to run this list against it before the warranty is done!
The list of stuff to watch out for on a 163
"Back by popular demand, here it is: I think the brake parts are identical. All ML320's and 350's use the same stuff as far as I know. It looks the same anyways. Some 430's may even have had the smaller brakes. Forget the remote starter, it aint gonna happen with the whole transponder in the key thing. You could add step tubes, but not mudflaps. You could also add running boards. Brush guard should fit too. Personally I would leave it alone, it looks pretty good as it is, not to mention the wieght factor. Sport package bumpers are heavy compared to regular ones. Anything that went wrong with 98-99 ML's is still an issue with the '01 models. They were not substantially improved until '02 with the redesign. The '01 will probably be a bit more reliable though. Fuel pumps - make sure you got ..."

Is this still for sale? Have you thought about dropping the price?
FS: 2004 C230 Kompressor, Priced to sell, Great condition
"For sale is my 2004 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor. Approx mileage is 99,150. Car is in fantastic shape, and runs great. Has had all major service done (at MB of Henderson). I have owned this vehicle for about 2 years and it has been absolutely fantastic as my daily driver and commuter car. It has been reliable, comfortable, and has served me very well. All fluids have been recently changed, as have the brake pads. I personally am a Mechanic and installed EBC Red Brake Pads ($455 for all 4 corners), and bled the brakes with fresh fluid just recently. Tires are in great shape, with about 70% treadlife left. They are Yokohoma S-Drive's, and look & drive great. I recently had the car in to MB of Henderson for an Alignment, and inspection and it passed with flying colors. Yes, the vehicle is ..."

I also agree with a lot of the earlier comments about being a good customer and having a good relationship with your SA. I was due for my Service B, and my SA wrote me up for a standard oil change ($130) and free a multi-point inspection that covered everything that the Service B would cover. Including the $100 off service coupon I had from MB, my last Service B ended up costing $30. in Fort Pierce, FL. They also gave me a free loaner C300 to drive and a car wash while my ...

Security issue; my car was opened today
"Hi, Today unfortunately someone opened my car and stole some things from the inside. I'm almost sure that I closed my car; because closing it is almost automatically. I've heard that there are people with some equipment that are able to open the cars that use our kind of keys. I want to know if someone knows if this is possible to accomplish with out MB's. If you think it is not possible, is there a way to program the computer so the car closes automatically after a couple of minutes opened. If not is there any other security system that may be installed? Thanks for your time and I will really appreciate any help."
Had an '06 325 that I hated. The MB has better style, more comfort, astronomically better interior, and idrive vs command isn't even a contest.
Memory seat comes with leather package. It will be the M 1 2 3 buttons on the driver door next to the seat adjustment buttons.
Quoted from snowykim's post
"What is a memory pack? That is for memory seat and steering wheel combination package? I might be wrong but as far as I know US version does not come with memory seat option for 2008 C class. Anybody confirm with that please?"
Posts so I don't have to. As far as the OP goes, it sounds like a good deal, take it if you want it. Just get the updated warranty in writing.
Quoted from Speedriven1's post
"Sure it can. You're thinking of "SEMA laws" which state that you can use aftermarket parts like aftermarket oil filters, etc. which comply with OEM specifications. Once you deviate from OE spec., they can drop coverage."
HELP! Where to buy C63 Rep Wheels?
"Can you guys tell me where to buy good 18" C63 rep weels for my 2010 C300 sports?"
No they are not. I don't know about the C200, but the C300 is smaller than the C350.
Are all W204 Brake Rotors the same size?
"Asking because I wanna upgrade the brakes on the fiance's Benz when it's time but can't find any aftermarket support for her C200 CGI, seems they only have rotors for C300+"
