do you guys know if this works reversed? I want to fit a carbon pre facelift grille to my face lift c63
Facelift Grille for 08-11 C63
"Are there any aftermarket grilles that have the 1 fin design of the facelift models that would fit the pre-facelift cars? I've seen some for the non-AMG cars, but none that fit the pre-facelift C63. also, does anyone have pictures of it?"

i believe typically coupe versions of cars that were designed as sedans tend to be heavier because they need additional reinforcements in the body to make up for the missing center pillar
Measured weight for c63 coupe and sedan
"Has anyone actually measured the weight of c63 sedan or coupe? I looked up on the mbusa website and found the weight to be higher for the coupe (compared to sedan, which was interesting). But more interestingly, the weight was lower than what I expected. It was 3600 lbs for sedan and 3800 lbs for the coupe. The links is: So, the question is: Why is coupe heavier? And why is the sedan so light? Also, does this mean that the 507 edition cars are even lighter due to the shaved pounds in engine and hood? I posted a similar question in the parts weight sticky a few days ago but didn't get any answers so I figured I would post a dedicated weight thread."

found out that the camber is not equal on both sides in our car. the pass. rear has less camber so the wheel rubs.
Quoted from Chris420's post
"If it's the right rear that's rubbing it could be because of the battery's weight."

F Type R Coupe KILLER?
"Mercedes' response....might be even more insane Talk of a new sports car built along the lines of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG dates back , with numerous reports on the car, which was previously thought to be called an SLC AMG, emerging over the years. A very early test mule based on the SLS was , though plans for that car on the basis it would be too expensive compared to its intended rivals, namely, the Porsche 911, Audi R8 and even Nissan's GT-R. Mercedes-Benz apparently went back to the drawing board and devised a new sports car, as we now have spy shots of a prototype for it, which our sources tell us shares little with the SLS. The new car, which carries the internal code "C190" and is rumored to be called the "AMG GT", will target younger buyers than those of the retro-inspired ..."
yeah thats what i planned to do. I still dont understand why it rubs only on passenger side even though both sides are very close in height. Thank you! They are ADV10.1 SL

"That's because the coilovers settled. I raised my car for the winter wheels as well."

CLA Shooting Brake - SpyShots
"Mercedes-Benz is working on its fifth and final compact car based on its MFA front-wheel-drive platform, the CLA Shooting Brake. Our latest spy shots reveal a prototype with barely any camouflage gear, suggesting that the carís auto show debut canít be far. The only part that appears concealed is the rear hatch, which has been made to look bulkier. In case youíre wondering, a shooting brake is essentially a coupe with a wagon-like hatch at the rear. The design offers greater versatility for low slung two-doors (or a four-door coupe in this case) and allows designers to inject some practical storage space in what would otherwise be a very confined cabin. The sad news is that Mercedes has no plans to offer the CLA Shooting Brake in the U.S. market, mainly due to the same reasons it ..."
love this car but I'll pick a used one up in 3 years for 40k LOL

Vath/Vaeth products for C63...
"Can anyone get their hands on them? A quick search didn't help me with any suppliers....their diffuser looks amazing as does their carbon grille (Mode carbon doesn't make anything for the pre-facelift c63 anymore and hasn't returned my call/emails)."

what rear tires are you running? How low did you set it? I am currently running kw v3 but my installer set it too low and it rubs so much, you cant tell what brand my tires are anymore on the passenger side
Quoted from whoadude's post
"HR coilovers, although I would not recommend them (way too noisy). No rub at all."
perfect ride height what are you lowered on? does it rub?
No, i havent but I sure hope they corrected it. The standard SLS I drove at the ADA was terrible, esp on downshifts. I heard they didnt give the same update as the GT though, as there was that long discussion on the PL
Quoted from rage2's post
"Have you driven the SLS GT? It's way better, pretty much what it should've been in the first place. I believe there's a software update for SLS non GT owners to update to the better shifting."

2016 Mercedes-Benz GT Could Deliver 493hp With 4.0-liter TT V8
"The upcoming 2016 GT, while not a true successor to the , will replace the SLS at the top of the Mercedes-Benz range. However, while the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is only currently offered in a handful of different performance specifications, most notably the regular car and the Black Series, the carís replacement could take the fight to the complete Porsche 911 range. Sit atop of the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GT range will be a true competitor to the Porsche 911 Turbo. Currently pinned to be the first Mercedes-Benz to feature the brandís new twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter modular V8, the range-topping GT should deliver around 493 hp. This engine is then set to be shared for the upcoming next-generation Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG also due out soon. While peak horsepower of the Mercedes-Benz GT is ..."
i say you wont really notice it daily driving except at like really steep turning entrances when theres really low traction u wont feel it slip as much. its only worth it if you track or like drifting about lol
LSD for your Mercedes! Quaife and WaveTrac
"WaveTrac would be my recommendation for you guys! Most of you have heard of Quaife -Used by Ford, GM and Daimler-Chrysler as original equipment -Widely used in competitive motor sports -Neither Quaife or WaveTrac require any normal maintenance -The WaveTrac is slightly more expensive but according to them it is more responsive and stronger then the Quaife setups! -They also are said to have smoother transitions and better grip in low traction situations -Transferable Limited Lifetime Warranty and built in the USA! For More Info on what makes the WaveTrac different (click on How It's Different) PM me for pricing on both"
I guess they are all out enjoying burnouts and drifting hahaha. I installed this and really loved it. No negatives really. Much more predictable slides, and hooks up better coming out of corners (less tc light). Makes driving a lot more fun imo. The only thing I didnt like was the cost of labor to install it lol. Worth it in the end tho
Quoted from ROMEO550's post
"Can anyone address any negatives they have had with this? ??? A lot of fodder about sales and bumps and no feedback at all. This leads me to believe there are a lot of sales and mixed reactions. Someone who has purchased chime in here please as I have serious traction problems daily. Ty."
