c32 transmission problem

Hi,
It seems like a lot of ppl who own a 2002 C32 are having this transmission problem when acclerating softly from 1st gear to 2nd gear around 1500-2000 rpm. When the gear changes, it jerks. Is it a known problem for ALL 2002 C32? And for some reason, it is not a known problem for 2003 C32, that means mercedes knows about this, and have fixed this problem for all new C32. So why doesn't mercedes try to fix the 2002's? At least they could admit that there is such a problem when you ask them about it. Since you guys are technicians, have you heard about this problem before?

thanks.

2002 C230K
that happens in a lot of c230 as well, autos anyway. i'm pretty sure its just the wide gap between gear ratios of first and second. if you rev higher, you cant feel it because you are further into the powerband.

This particular problem is not a "known" problem.
Just let your dealer do the adaptation procedure for shifting quality problems.
