?'s for MBTech 208
Dave,
Does the 209 have a seperate amp for AM and FM?
My reason for asking is my radio sounds like all the speakers are slightly blown in AM mode and when in FM they sound great, a stereo expert asked me to see if the car has seperate amps one for am and one for fm, as a defective am amp could be causing this problem.
Also any experiences with this problem?
Regards

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but Mercedes has never gotten AM radio reception down to an art. There may be a malfunction with your radio, and window tinting definitely decreases AM radio reception and sound, but your dealer may tell you it's normal, and I may be inclined to agree.
