Motor mount diagnosis E55 1999

Is the attached photo indicative of a bad motor mount?

I found this today while exploring and learning about my car. I would assume it is oil-filled and ruptured but would like verification before I invest money and time.

Thanks!

Thank you, Sir. Much appreciate the feedback. Now I'm off to order the parts....

And I note you drive a Mazda MX5. Two of my other vehicles are NA-series Miatas; I've been driving one of those fun little cars since 1991.

Cheers!

motor mount replacement 1999 e55

Update:
Replaced both motor mounts this weekend. Be sure to duct tape over the electrical connections on the back of the alternator if you do not want to disconnect the battery and reset all of the switches.

I could not get enough leverage on the 16mm bolt on top of the mount to break it loose on the passenger side. Instead I removed the four each 12mm torx bolts from the bracket mounted to the engine. I then removed the entire assembly and placed it into a vise to break the bolt loose. Reinstalled the bracket back on the engine block and then installed the mount. Medium-strength Loc-Tite on the threads as I could not get a torque wrench on it for the 55Nm top. 37Nm bottom bolt was do-able.

Driver side mount 16mm bolt broke loose easily (which is good because the bracket on that side is bolted to the air conditioner compressor). Turns out the mount was replaced by a previous owner. I installed a new mount anyway.

1 1/2 hours for the passenger side. 20 minutes for the driver side. Racheting box wrenches help but it is a tight fit. Oh...the oil will pour out of the bad mount all over the mechanic and the floor....
