Greetings and thanks in advance

I drive a 1990 Mercedes 420SEL with power locks. In the last two months the driver side lock has jammed. I can turn the key to the right (which does nothing) but not to the left. I cannot push the door tab on the inside either up or down, it's too stuck. That said the door itself can still lock as I have been locking all four doors from the passenger side door since it stopped working and when I do this the tab on the drivers side door moves under power...

I was wondering if anyone had experienced this and knew a simple way to fix it? I have tried WD-40 in the key hole, which allowed the key to move more easily but still hasn't freed up the tab or lock.
