HELP! ML320 cooling fans will not shut off
I have a 2002 ML320 and yesterday the electric cooling fans kept running after I shut the car off. They have stayed on for a minute or 5 before but after an hour they were still going at full speed. I had to unhook the connector to make them stop. What can I do to fix this? is it a relay or sensor that can be replaced?
Thanks for the help in advance.

if all the wiring checks out then i would GUESS that possibly your temp switch is malfunctioning causing the system to think the engine/radiator is always hot. you can find a replacement switch here https://www.carpartsdiscount.com/cat...html?3594=2353
hope this helps

Not to wish any bad luck on you, but we've replaced a couple of ECUs (MEs) on other body styles for the same problem. The engine fan would run at high speed constantly, even when SDS/DAS showed the fan to be turned off. Hope you find it to be something cheaper.
