Steering wheel jerking

Hello MBWorld, I could use some help. I have a 2002 Mercedes C240. I just replaced my lower tie rod because I had play in my front tires and got a alignment done. Now my when I turn my steering wheel it jerks back in the opposite direction. I took it back to the mechanics and they told me it would take a few days for this to go away. I know a little about cars and could really use some help. Any insite would be greatly helpful. Thank you

You might want to consider a second Indie opinion. To me it sounds a if the steering is binding (improper installation of the component?) until it snaps back at you. Very unlikely that this will improve and any suspension component change should not require "break in" time.
