Wow, we don't even know what the new body style looks like and people are already bringing up AMG. I mean, without a doubt theres gonna be the 5.5 Biturbo in it. Obviously the 6.2 isn't going to have enough grunt to keep up with say, Cayenne Turbo or the X5M.

6.2 is already faster than cayenne turbo is isn't much slower than an X5 M

I'm interested to know as well. What if you put an order in for one now and the new model was out in 6 months ?

With more power and torque it should be the quickest of the new era

I'm going to to hang on to mine for 3 yrs or so, then buy a used 2013 model in 2014, so hopefully first year glitches r sorted.

i am ready to order now, my 2010 ML 63 is a gas pig it gets 10mpg in the city My 2011 cl 63 with new blower gets 13 mpg in the city and 20 on the highway

Lol, I know what your on about.

It is fairly excessive. I'm averaging 16.5 litres / 100 klms (city and town)

Put some nicer sounding exhausts on it and think of the fuel usage as entertainment expense

Mines got duel 3 inch pipes from the cats back.

Had a few issues with the exhaust initially but now i love it.

I suppose a V8 with twin turbo's spooling and less fuel consumption would be the best

When warmed up the car would feel like a taxi at 2000 rpm.

It had an annoying viabration.

Had to get some flex pipes put in the exhaust

car and drive has some spy shots from 4 days ago, i took my 2011 CL 63 to Fletcher Jones to switch my winter tires. I have not run the car on the summer tires because i picked it up in November. I put my winters on from my 2008 Cl 63. I cant wait. My wife's ML 63 is such a gas pig compared to my car. I drove a 2011 C class today as my loaner its a V6 i raced a bmw3 series in traffic and beat it but the driver was not that good since i know the bmw has a blower and 300 hp. As soon as Fletcher lets me order the 2012 ml 63 i will place my order. We are driving the ML 63 from Chicago to Orlando this month. I have to put new tires on at 10k so next week she goes in . The tires are worn in the front more than the back. So new skins and disney!! I hope to get at least 15-16 mpg on the highway

Mavrick you could never drive that in chicago you would beat it up with the post holes and parking curbs. Can you raise it enough to get over a concrete parking block, Kinkaid the new ml has the new motor with twin blowers.

not post holes, chicago pot holes about 9 inches deep you have to be on guard for those bad boys they are deep and jagged they will tear the tire and scratch the rim.

I switched the wheels yesterday.
Put Vossens with original Summer tires the car came with (put Winter Pirellis on stock rims).
New rims were custom made,painted Designo Graphite to match the car.
Went to lunch at Le Colonial today and imagine that,the valet (gave him couple 20s to leave it there)tried to back the car a little and of course scrubbed the rear wheel against the curb.
I'm pissed but what can I do?

it will have sureley the new twin 5.5l biturbo and much probably the MCT transmission (dual cluch)

and it will consume much less fuel than the actual 63...with a lot of more turque at the lower rpm!!

Just learned 2012 ML 63 coming in february or march 012 new interior and dash board, heated steering wheel, not sure if dynamic seats. We drove to Orlando in ML 63 cruise set at 90mph 15.5 mgp on computer. We had a full load. My wife bought last years MB stainless steel ice chest from MB in LV, we brought it to disney filled with water and Bitburger, it was 110 on car thermometer, we had ice after 7 hours in the parked car in the lot. ML is black/black so it is a awesome cooler like our MB Dou Child seat.
