Hey all,
I am new here, and have been doing some of my own work on my ML 55. I have run into an issue and hoping that the member here could provide some insight to my issue.


Just had my ML 55 throw a code 0170 and 0173. All information pointed to the MAF, which I replaced. No improvement, now it has given me codes 300, 301, 302, indicating random misfire, and misfire cylinders 1 and 2. My plan is to replace the spake plugs, but do you think this is more a coil pack issue? Which should be my next step.

Any insight would be appreciated.

0170 and 0173 can also be oxygen sensors sometimes too, sometimes they can cause funky things to start happening.

What's your mileage exactly on your 2000 ML55?

I had a different code about 8 months ago for the o2 sensor, which was replaced.
Currently the vehicle has 184,000KM, no real issue expect for just what occurred. Running great up to that point.
