Guys , although I'm still very happy with my truck, I figure she will be good to go sometime next year. I'm not so Happy with the looks of the 166s (no offense to the owners) my present short list is the Macan or the GLA 45. Although they are both smaller . I also like the new GL63 very much but I can't justify the size as this is a daily drive for me .

Why not go bak to the w164 and get a second hand one and supercharge it?

if you get a 164 tho, get a 2011 (the last of them) with black headlights, different bonnet, mirrors, black roof liner etc.

I had a 2010 RR Sport V8 Petrol. (back in 2010) It was brand new (0kms). Had lots of problems. Maybe i got a lemon, but i didnt mod it at all, and it always had problems. I wouldnt recommend one.

The ML63 is a much nicer drive, faster, more luxury, more gadgets.

What about an X5M 2010 + ?

The only thing I would replace my W164 AMG with would be a G-Wagen (AMG preferably) or the F-150 Raptor. (Same as above, not in love with the W166)

Avoid the 2010 X5 5.0i IMHO. Wife has a 2013 5.0i..... lots of problems...... fuel injectors, spark plugs, hi press fuel pump at 20K miles........ when it's running it will give my ml63 a run for it's money...... X5 has the Dinan stage 2.


I'm loving my 2011 ML63....... has EC tune and blip tune........ oh the TQ.

If you want an SUV which is similar to an ML63, then go for a Cayenne Turbo (or Turbo S); to be honest, the Macan and GLA as good as they might be, are downgrades. You should aim to always move up IMO.

*By the way, I didn't suggest a Range Rover Sport because I just feel it's a different kind of SUV from the AMG & Porsche.

thinking maybe the new E63 S model with the 577hp and the awd :-) so I can still drive it in snow....and I hear the tunes give it ridiculous power to an already fast sedan.
