Few Questions about 2010 ML63 AMG - UPDATED W/PICS!
Hey, I recently got a 2010 ML63 and there are a few questions I have, which I have not been able to figure out:
1) When my iPod is plugged in (through the glove box iPod adapter), I can only control the iPod using the steering controls (i.e. skip song), but not the through the COMAND unit. Is this normal?
2) Is it possible to move through different playlist on the iPod through any of the controls without having to unplug it?
3) Finally, my iPhone easily connected and allowed me to make and receive calls via Bluetooth, however, the "SMS" option is not clickable. I'm not sure why, any suggestions?
Thanks for your help guys! Otherwise really enjoying this beast.
UPDATE*
Just realized it was kinda rude to not include pics of the beast in Africa. Here are a few quick pics off the iPhone. Enjoy!

So for anybody who might have the same questions, I've solved #2.
Plug in your iPod; go to Audio and select "AUX". From there, using the steering wheel controls, find Audio mode like in the picture below. Then use the "Hang Up" button to bring up the top level of the iPod Menu. From here you can select "Up" or "Down" on the steering (not volume up/down, but the menu up/down buttons) to go through the different iPod options (Shuffle All Songs, Load Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, etc)...
Once "Playlists" appears, use the "Pick Up" phone button on the steering wheel and it will display the first playlist on your iPod. From there, again using "Up" and "Down" buttons you can find a playlist and again use the "Pick Up" button to select it.
Hope this helps. Would have been so much easier to do on the COMAND - especially if you're riding with a passenger.
