Was having some fun today and I noticed my check engine light came. So took a drive to my shop and checked the code. Came up P0170 bank 1 fuel trim lean. Also has a little rough idle. Comes and goes. Has 98k all services where done on time. Could taking the charcoal filters out make this happen.

Usually mass air sensor or oxygen sensor. Nothing huge, just get it replaced. Do you have K&N performance oiled filter or standard dry filters?

Yes removing charcoal filters can , usually its a leak in the intake duct that could let a little more air in and cause it to throw a code

No, I have charcoal delete, no issues. If you do it properly it should not be the issues
