My friend set up on ml63 w166 ceramic brakes from MB SLS. It has very high working temperature limit, but price for brakes is very high... IMO it not worth the trouble if you not ride on 200-300 kmh all time, because stock brakes are good stopping.

Do you have some more info about this (part numbers, special pieces to be made, etc). I know the w166 ML63 AMG has good stopping power, but when the MOD bug hits you, it hits you HARD!!!

Unless you track the car its a complete waste of money. Stock brakes actually work better in everyday normal driving.

Thanks for the input executive13!!.
But I am still encourage to do them. Sadly though, I dont have the slightest on how to make this happen (I really like the CC brake caliper), so I will really appreciate if someone enlightens me.
I know @Mercteil posted a few photos of this conversion done in Russia I think in some other thread (I think it was a C63 thread), so hopefully he can comment also?.
Hope to hear more thoughts!!

My tuner said the brembo amg ceramica couldn't handle the weight if the ml63... They told me it wasn't safe and so did amg studios.

I therefore went with the Movit ceramic brakes :-)

Modern MB, to the best of my knowledge only, have one set of CC brake hardware and that's the same brakes that you see optional on the CLS/E/S/SL/SLS. The cost for the complete kit over the counter at the dealer is about $13,000 for all the rotors and calipers. Not sure on actual install but I have seen photos of the brakes installed on a G before in Dubai.

Thanks EVOII_Racer!!!.
I 've looked MOvit brakes, but from I could manage to understand of the information displayed on their website, the CC Brakes are only available for the front. Is this correct?, can you clarify this?.
Also, how was the installation?, pretty straight forward?, or some fabrication needed?.
Thanks again for all the info!!!

The best setup for the money is actually the RacingBrake 2-piece setup with matching lightweight monoblock calipers. It will give you much better street performance than CC at a small fraction of the cost with still almost off of the weight savings benefits. Here is another thread on this ML63 section that talks about it

Thank you ML63 AMG!!!, can you confrim that the w166 spindle is the same as the w164's???.
Because if I understand correctly Racing Brake BBK is just for the W164.
Thanks!!!
