Problems? Those aren't problems!
I have a 2001 and my problem is with my steering. I just replaced the steering pump and at low idle I'm having a tough time turning my wheel. I am left to believe it's a problem with the steering sensor which, I am having trouble finding any information on or, even being able to find the part is just as difficult.
If any ML55 owner's are out there which, have incurred steering problems, it would be much appreciated if any tips can be given, that can assist me with this situation. Thank you for stopping by.

On my ml55 the steering is difficult. The same year ml320 steers like butter but the ml55s all seem to have problems with the steering. Removed mine, pump functions as it should no leaks and the steering sensor is functioning properly with no codes. It is what it is.
As for the HID lamps use good quality. They aren't cheap but there are good aftermarket units. When I first got my 55 I had one light go bad so I replaced both. Cost about 85.00 for both if I remember correctly but they are a "religious experience" to install.
The powerfold mirror could be a number of things besides the unit and they aren't cheap so unless you're positive it's the powerfold mirror as opposed to a power issue don't waste money diagnose it first. Use a voltmeter and start at the motor and work backward to the center switch. That's going to be labor intensive but if it's a power issue all the new mirrors won't make it work.
Lazy wipers are either stiff or the motor is failing. Shoot some wd40 into the the sleeves. Or better yet disconnect the linkage and see if there is a difference. If yes then start lubing everything that moves. If no the motor is probably failing and need to replace.
Headlight is it the unit or the hose that's leaking. If hose its a quick fix. Can't believe it to be anything else as it's just a hose that connects to the sprayer. Good luck.
