ML63
Stock or Modified?
Hello All,
I joined MBWorld almost a year ago, soon after ML63 purchase, looking for general ML63 information and I was amazed at the number of people who were modding their AMG. The initial thought was "These guys are all crazy. Why would they need/want something faster than 500+ hp?"
Well, it seems after infrequent return visits to the forum, some of these mods are starting to make sense. SS Brake cables, better brake fluid, then that is segueing to lighter wheels and less unsprung mass, resonator delete, etc., etc., etc..
So, is this how it all begins? The slippery slope, as it were?
I started thinking that AMG engineers had good reasons for choices, now I'm thinking they faced financial corporate realities and there are some meritorious mods that will improve performance without sacrificing longevity of the car...
I wonder what the forum consensus is as a whole?
How many ML AMG owners have left their car stock, and how many have modified?
Please chime in, I'm curious to know. I do love my car as is, but certain mods are making more and more sense to me.
