Decision on 2014 ML63 vs "Regular" ML/GLE
Hi,
We've started to look for something bigger than the GLK350 we currently have, we liked a 2015 ML400 with AMG sport package, but we still looked around at the usual suspects (X5, Q5,Q7, Infiniti...) anyway last week our salesperson contacted me and told me that they have available a 2014 ML63 AMG, a demo unit with 4,000 miles on it. (but we do get full warranty as a brand new unit)
This is how the prices look like, by the way this is in Mexico, so the prices may be higher than in the USA due to import taxes and all.
The 2015 ML400 is about 64,000
The 2014 AMG with 4,000 miles they are asking 70,000 for it (a new one costs 107,000)
We could also wait for the new GLE down in august and it would be around 64,65K
Do you guys think its a good price for the AMG, with the model changing in 2016 and all?
Thanks for your opinions

I am going through the same decision making, although I have looked at the Porsche Cayenne TT.
The price the dealer is offering you on the ML63 is below the average manhein wholesaler prices. That would be a good deal.

Thanks for your replies,
I also think that it is a good deal get AMG engine and configuration just for 7K more...
I just need to set an appointment and look closely at everything just to be sure it is in good condition, even though they offer brand new warranty, I wouldn't like to use the warranty right away.

You know what? Take them all for a ride and at about 45mph put the pedal to the metal. Then tell me which one blows your socks off. That's the one you want.

Thank you, as soon as you step on the gas there is nothing that compares to the 63 in this price range, I don't think I can get a less than 5,000 mile 2014 X5M or Cayenne with a 37,000 discount...
Now I'm just haggling with the dealer to get me the back cover, and anything else I can get.
Thanks

ML63 all the way. Not only does have great power but the looks are amazing in opinion and the fact that if it has a performance pack on it will make 550 HP !!
Now if you want wait for GLE you will have one of the newest suv's on the market. But if you want a GLE 63 then you will have to wait a little while but it would worth the wait. But at the moment the deal ml63 is on the table, so you might as well take it.

2014 E63S; AMS 100 octane ecu tune; edok tcu tune; BB intakes; dyno tuned
The amg will have much higher maintenance costs if you care
Also the mct trans has only gotten better and smoother for 2016 on the amg

If he's looking at the ml63 and the Porsche Cayanne he isn't too concerned about maintenance. Porsche is more expensive anyway. Even though I do my own work parts for the Porsche ( I have a 911) are generally more expensive.
