right FRONT park lamp stays on 2007 ML63

Having a problem with my 2007 ML 63, right front parking light (5watt) stays on and won't go of even after car is locked...and headlight switch is in the correct position...car just got a new battery, problem began after that, could be related?
ANY help is appreciated
