Ahhh First Issue 2003 ML55 TPS??

Well before I bought the truck I went for a rather long ride with it. Everything seemed fine until today. I was driving it and throttle response was gone. Only a bit at full throttle. My jaguars do the same thing when it goes into limp mode....Well got in home.. Shut it off. Ran codes none. Went back later and truck would not start. Code P1542 came up. TPS or pedal sensor. I believe that's the one attached to the firewall no>?

Well I popped the hood and heard a humming coming from the engine, right around the throttle body area. When I pulled on the cable activating the TPS or pedal sensor the noise would change. Shut car off came back and car started right up. No more noise.

Guess my question is even though the code says TPS or pedal sensor based on the humming from the TB can that be the motor that activates the throttle blade? Possibly a bad connection? Anyone have this issue? ALSO...is there anything special about the ML55 tb or is it the same as the rest of the ML TB's.......

Thanks@!
