Can the black headlights be swapped on to older models ?
I am in the market for an ML63 and even though im looking for a 2011, they are very hard to come by.
I found some really good deals on 09s and even 08s and I was wondering if the black housing headlights of the newer models can be swapped to the older models.
Thanks guys

Aftermarket has: http://www.parts4euro.com/depo-led-x...64-p-2578.html
If you look at Parts 4 Euro, also check on Ebay. I think I overpaid $100 or so by buying direct (although, they worked so not sure if I did overpay).

Yeah, sorry I don't have the set I linked. I agree the LEDs could be bad looking and I'd have to see them to determine if I like them or not - they look like those fat LEDs on Japan imports that look like crap by the photo.
I used Parts 4 Euro for my W211 headlamp upgrade (http://www.parts4euro.com/depo-amg-e...on-p-1805.html)
They work excellent, were plug and play with the ballasts and wires all inside, and have had no problems, so I sent the link as I saw they had kind-of what you were looking for.
BTW, with the set I have on my wife's car, I added 3M protection to the lenses. A year later my wife had a Toyota Landcruiser DRIVE OVER THE TOP OF HER CAR in a traffic circle. The tire actually drove over the light. There was minimal damage to the car. No metal damage (well, you can barely detect it anyway), bumper was scuffed but no paint damage (3M replaced), and the light is still fine. The top mount bolt was stretched a bit, but all I had to do was replace the 3M film. All the "damage" was buffed out. The point is, the lights were solid.
