I need to change the front disks. Looking at them, I'm guessing that I need to remove the calipers and then there is a screw that looks like it needs to be removed. After that it would appear that the disk should come off the hub with a little encouragement. Have I got that right?

Thats right, you need to clean the hub face when that disc comes off, wire brush, it needs to be spotless or your new discs will run out in no time.
That bolt can be a pain, impact driver needed.
