Rear passenger door lights do not illuminate

p1 = NO rear courtesy door lights = cheapskate MBUSA
you need to get your dealer to flash the software to turn on your puddle lights. There is a separate thread on puddle lights which tells you how. Apparently all Bluetecs are OK, but most gas versions need to have their puddle lights activated.
Hope this helps,
Steve

Thanks for the help...
Appreciate the clue on removing the lens. W166 '13 GL Bluetec does not have rear bulbs either. I tried having them replaced with LEDs and the tech told me there is nothing to replace inside.

I just find it frustrating when manufacturers take away standard equipment on previous models and then make it an option on current/newer models, especially for something that is not a major upgrade in regards to the cost for them in my opinion, but well worth the simple feature.

On the S class there are standard, but my rear passenger door one won't light for some reason,. Already swapped a light from the other side that works, and still doesn't on that side. Strange... Ideas?
