You read it right. Is not possible for '12s, so I'm glad.

Yes, I decided sometime ago the gas version is better for my needs and usage.

I'm guessing that mid 400's and mid 500's torque is too high for the driveline in low range, although I would have thought that could be mitigated by the transmission?

From my perspective the Bluetec is the way to go, but I was hoping to get the off-road package as well. Lots of terrain would be reachable without the x-fer case with airmatic and skid plates. Are skid plates available? Kinda makes me want to wait and see what Jeep does with the JGC for MY 2013.
As I understand it, the BlueTEC was not certified with the off-road package. Apparently it works with the petrol 350, though.

Nope, nor base price. Hopefully by the time the order bank opens up next week there will be more information.

B&O a first born son or your dog. They won't take wives anymore. First guess about 4 grand. Check the Q7 price

I think it'll be more than 4k. The SLS and S has the B&O as a $6400 option. I'd imagine the SUVs will be around the same if not a little more due to the larger cabin.

Yeah, but don't forget credit for losing the spare tire!

Just checked, it's $6300 for the B&O in the Q7. (don't know if you lose the spare or not)

That's sort of annoying that you lose the spare with the addition of the B&O. Makes the ideal road trip situation cumbersome if you need to put a spare on the roof or attach one to the hitch.

Fortunately, at my age, and with the abuse my ears have taken during years of concert-going in my youth, I would never hear the improvements that the B&O may deliver, so I wouldn't even consider it!

I am fortunate to have a nice wife who OK'ed my plan to buy a luxury SUV. If I tell her I was going to add a $6300 sound system, she might not be so nice and I might have to sleep in the SUV

Im sure you need leather first but good idea
Available for August builds.
Im going to wait as my driving style and the SUV ride height will take full advantage of the active bolstering

It is likely the driver's seat only.

The standard system is fine. There is always going to be something better, sometimes there are things you need and don't need. I didn't want to pay extra mostly for the fact that many other luxury SUVs come standard with a sound system similar to the HK - watts and speaker count.

The other is my SUV is for my wife, she doesn't care about having 1000 watt system - with the baby on the way - it will almost be useless and most of the time playing something on the Disney Sirus XM station.

Don't feel bad about not getting it, the ML 350 is a great vehicle all around.

Delayed until MY14 as I understand it, unless you get designo wood trim.

Code 399 is the comfort headrests. You wouldn't have front seats with different headrests

Despite what the US documentation Greg posted suggests, the info I've got indicates it's driver's side only for the multicontour. Daimler hasn't been developing a passenger-side active multicontour on new models (212 E-Class, etc) due to the different weight sensing system in the passenger seat of Euro vs NA vehicles. The low take rate doesn't justify the development costs.

I could be wrong, but just sayin!

YYZ: Thanks. What is Designo wood trim for a Canadian ML-500. Can I special order the Burl Walnut Cup Holder cover like in the ML-63.

You can order the cupholder assembly with wood roller door through the parts department. It's about $500. I posted the info in another thread.

Designo wood is piano black or carbon fiber, IIRC.
