2008 Honda CR-V, 2013 ML350 on order
As far as i know -
The initial P1 package had a single disc DVD player. Later, they changed it to a 6 disc changer.

Just in case if you go to your CD menu you will see the options for the CD slots. When you eject a CD it will also show the slots available.

I am really upset now, eevn I was told I have 6 CD changer and also paid $3600 for the P1, I have single Cd changer in my truck. I found it our as I was not able to see any other slots under CD menu and only 1CD could go in...
What shall I do now?

The mysterious case of the missing CD/DVD changer AND HOW IT WAS RESOLVED
Our 2012 ML350 came with a single CD DVD player, not the 6 disc changer which was mentioned in the pre-sales reviews of the vehicle as well as in sales literature, the MBUSA web site and by the sales person who sold us the vehicle.
When the ML arrived - no changer. We were offered many, many excuses including: "The factory that made them was destroyed when the Tsunami hit Japan," and "Nobody wants a CD changer anymore - everyone uses MP3 players - so Mercedes Benz took it out." But they also kept the money we paid for it! (FYI this unit was supposed to be standard in the ML350 - if you bought an ML350 it should have been in your vehicle.)
HOW WE RESOLVED THE ISSUE: We discussed the situation with the sales manager. We have bought a number of vehicles from the dealership over the years, and trade-in our used cars to them when we get new ones. We explained that we would never buy from a dealer, or a manufacturer, who took advantage of us. We said we we expected a fair solution or we would no be his customers. He gave us a 5 year 50,000 mile service plan at no cost - which we considered to be fair compensation. And, since we're about to buy another ML350 from the dealership and trade in one of our ML350s at the same time, I expect they'll made back the cost of the service plan in short order.
(On a related note, we received the vehicle that was missing the CD DVD changer in December, and tried to get Mercedes Benz to correct the information on their site - but it was still there at least until the end of February, I think.)
Finally, there were a number of other customers at our dealership who complained about this problem, which is probably why the dealer moved on the issue relatively quickly.
Good luck!

Not sure where many of the posters are located (no location in their profiles), or even what package(s) they have, but our ML350BT with P2, built at the end of May '12 has a 6 disk changer. For what it is worth.

When I insert a cd it shows I have five slots left so I assume I have a 6 cd changer but I have not filled the other slots. My gas version ML350 was built in May, was scheduled for delivery to a dealer in Boston but was switched with my dealer and rerouted to me here in Texas. I really don't think it makes any difference where it is going but the package might make a difference (I have the upgraded stereo system in Package 2 option). Chances are I will never use the cd player anyway since almost everything I play is from SD cards and USB devices.

The only available option is the HK sound (810), and the only details provided for that say that it comes with 14 speakers.
However my new ML will not be here for a while, so it's hard to confirm.
Fortunately I have now moved on to an i-Pod.

As far as I know, in the UK, you specify weather you want the 6 disc changer or not... if you specify, it is a separate cost item... also, in my current ML, I have the 6 disc changer and the last time I changed the discs was about a year ago... in the new one, I will just use my IPhone and Spotify...

The US model GLK's had the same issue. Some ordered a 6 disc and got a single, I ordered a single and got a 6. No prior notice. And yes they charged me the extra!
At MB you get it their way.

On MBUSA, 6-disc DVD/CD changer is standard on all models. I looked it up because I want to make sure on long road trips I have all my music ready.
Just a few questions, you can watch DVD movies, right? When you are in drive, can you still listen to the sound of the DVD? The reason I ask is because I like listening to my comedy standup and music video DVD collection on trips.
