Hello guys, Just for the info, I wanted to buy a clk 63 black series, but had to settle for a 2013 ML 63 instead. 4 wheel drive AMG won here in Switzerland Will have to wait the black. Anyway, what is the wait in the US? I will sign the contract in a few weeks and need to wait until December I can't wait for it and then I will go to Vath to gain 680hp (Special intercooler, exhaust with back pressure and headers)

All dealers in the Montreal, Canada, Region told me they have a very limited quantity of 2013 ML-63 units. Two per Dealer. I assume the same limitation applies for Switzerland. If you did not reserve one for an early production you will have to wait in line. I was lucky to book one for August production with Delivery in September.

I was also told that allocations will be quite limited in the US. I went with a 2012 that someone ordered and backed out of their deal because I couldn't get a firm answer on a 2013 allocation. I had a lease ending in the fall and the dealer made it no cost to me to get out of the lease. A couple of months ago they were saying that one might be able to get a summer production/fall delivery but they couldn't guarantee it.

Ouch. For that much there are a lot better "fast" vehicles you can get?

Is the demand really that high?

Keep in mind people that buy these cars also have sports cars.

You need to compare it to other SUV's not a sports car...
Therefore IMO, there are no other SUV's that are better than the ML 63 at the moment. It's extremely comforatble and bloody quick... Not to mention the incredible look of the car and the interior when you see it im real life...

IMO, the Cayenne doesn't look as good... The SRT doesn't look that great inside altough it's a big improvement... etc.

Decide what vehicle you want - then drive it. Don't expect any vehicle to do everything. As brilliant as an ML may be, it cannot give the thrill of an SL on a tight road regardless of the power available. But the SL or any good sports car cannot carry 4/5 people, with full luggage and tow a big trailer for a long run. That is definitely ML territory, regardless of whether its a 3.0L diesel or 5.5L V8.

I spoke to another MB dealer in Geneva yesterday night and didn't want to give me a date for the delivery After a while, he admited that there is a big problem because the high demand (here in Swizerland at least).. it's is too high and the factory can't keep up.

Just to sum it up:
- To buy the new SLK 55 AMG you can get it in stock or worst case in 5 months.
- The W166 ml 63.... the wait is almost a year

Damn it will be a long wait I can't believe it Does anybody else in Europe knows the wait?

I attached the actual build sheet. in this post. Since then I have received a update that the massage seats have been deleted. I think they were going to hold up the build. Other than that no changes have been made. I think it will go into production in Sept and be ready sometime in Oct. I live 60 miles from the Mercedes Plant. I have had a 2010 GL550 , 2011 GL550, 2010 ML550 , 2007 ML63. You'd think I could get an invite to tour the facility from my dealer. :-)

Sweet! Was there any option you didn't get? The B&O, night vision, and Distronic are my favorite options for that car. Love that you got the soft close doors, wish they introduced that earlier.

So did you actually get confirmation that the Multi Contour seats (399) are not available for MY13 ML63 or are they just not available for your unit build?

So I got a call for MB yesterday

My ML 63 will be here in March I can't wait (9 months wait)

I will be going straight to Germany to install the cf interior and do the 1'500km so I can drive like a maniac after

EVOII: Congratulations. Remember you need to break-in the engine till 1500 km before going nuts. There will be a red sticker with instructions on the sun visor. My neighbor succeeded in blowing his 2012 ML-63 engine before reaching 200 km on the odometer (distance not speed). The replacement car arrived after 4 months.

I am still breaking-in the engine. Going slowly and carefully. No full throttle yet. However I often touched the 150 km/h (93 mph) at only 3000 rpm. Very stable under any circumstance with the Cornering Control System keeping cabin stability at highways exits and roundabouts. The ride quality is elevated with the Designo high quality seats which are firm but comfy. Before driving the ML-63 I use to think that Range Rover Captain's seat is the most adequate position for driving. Not any more. The ML-63 provides a better position with the Designo Seats and the Sport Wheel.
