Hello Guys,

Let us know what you paid (out the door) and the options you took. This will help us haggle better with the dealers who are playing though. If possible, please list the tricks you used on them dealers to cut price.

Thanks in Advance.

A gaggle of MB's
A lot depends what area you live in - different areas have different concentration/competition depending on # of dealers, and different areas have different availability/inventory of ML's.

That said - best "fleet" program discounts generally come thru USAA, PenFed, even United Mileage Plus..

Got 12% off an ML350 I ordered in January for March production that priced out at $72K. Are we allowed to be that specific? No fleet discount. Just walked in to my long time dealer and ordered it. Was done in 30 minutes. It was painless, but then I only paid the deposit.....

I'm in Philadelphia, PA

I'm in the Northern Virginia area (Pretty close to Washington DC).
There are about 4 dealerships within 30 mile radius.

After pricing it out the salesman says he can knock 6% off. I immediately told him to go talk to the manager. He came back with 10%. So I say "this is where I ask for 14%" and he cuts me off saying not a chance, but I continue saying "and you come back with 12% but you must have the deposit now." He ran back to the manager and the deal was done in minutes.

Is there anything else you people recommend I should or can ask for at closing?

Any idea when the 2015 models come out?
Once they start shipping 2015 models, I'm expecting dealers to start giving better discounts on 2014 models.

Are there any new discounts/sales events expected in the next 2-3 months?
Those who were shopping around last winter might have few insights.

Thanks in advance.

Additional $2000 off if you belong to USAA.

Use truecar.com to see the average price in your area.

Unfortunately, I am not/cannot be a USAA member. 2000$ is a considerable discount.

Is there any other group that I can belong to for getting additional discount. I do have costco membership, but I doubt if it matters much.

A long delivery time usually means your dealer didn't have an "allocation" to build one, or not using his allocation on your order to get one for somebody else, or that he's using his allocations to build what he wants so that you'll pick one of his from stock... otherwise my ordering experience has been 8 weeks plus factory lot time & shipping time. Once they hit the docks here, they like to truck them to the dealer ASAP.

Usially a dealer has an order in the pipeline that he can make any changes to until its "locked in" & preferenced to be built.

I ordered my '04 Nov 1 03 & drove it home from the dealer Dec 26 2004.
I ordered my '07 Nov 1 06 & drove it home from the dealer Feb 28 2007... (Different dealers)

Ask your dealer for your car's VIN. If its being/has been built it has one.

my daughter works for them so I know it was ordered properly, but we have been told that the weather in the east has caused problems with part deliveries to the assembly factory in Alabama

Do you guys just walk in and offer the price you want? For example 12% off MSRP? What's the process like?

I made an online price request and it came back 10% off. I worked it down to 12.5% over a week period. They did try a couple of ticks with the numbers but each time I brought it to their attention it was corrected. Make sure you run all the numbers yourself. At finance the guy tried to charge me $550 for the weathertech mats when the should have been $350. Said he entered a wrong code. In the end I got what I wanted at the best price possible but felt it should have been more professional.

Never walk in. Start with email/call to internet/fleet dept. Have price already negotiated before walking in.

12% off is very, very good.

Is 1,000 off the invoice a good price?

Also, how much is a 7 yr/75000 extended warranty cost?

Good enough.

7/75 should be about $2K

The Emerald Cruiser - my 2024 GLE 350
You can also try NADA Guides, as they show more options than he official Mercedes-Benz website. They show you two lists of costs - Dealer Invoice vs. MSRP. I'm not sure of their accuracy, but at least it's yet another place to start.

2020 GLE 450
ML350 BT spec'd out @ $62,715 and got it for $58,000 + TTL (7.5% off, so pretty much at invoice). Doc fee & reg. $370, and 7% sales tax.

Dealer was out of build allocations for 2014, so had to swap with another dealer to get one one of their open allocations.

I think the dealers are now giving out 5 to 9% below MSRP these days. Dealers who are a bit further from you are giving a higher discount than local dealers.

With spring kicking in, I am expecting the dealers to start getting a bit tight.

For March, I heard the MB incentive was 1500.
Anyone out there know what the MB incentive for April is?
