Side impact /rub strips

I'm considering adding side body impact strips...at least having a look at what's out there and if there's possibly anything offered specifically for the ML and I can't find anything.
Any insight would be appreciated..and yes I hate them too but not as much as door dings..

It doesn't seem to be available for the w166. I just park far away from everyone in the lot.

I think the euro MLs with sport package came with GLK chrome moldings,
not exactly what you are looking for but at least looks OEM lol:

Appreciate it but I think something along the center of door would be more appropriate..

Nanook, did you ever find a solution for side protection? Twice already, I have had two people ding the side of my car in parking lots. I'm also considering protection for the front and rear such as a trailer hitch for rear and bumper guard for front. Some people (esp in my area) are just unbelievably careless or perhaps intentional.

These upgraded/larger door-ding panels may do the trick. They snap onto to the vehicle side & cover past both front & rear door areas. 80" long x 10" height.

I have not no..I scrutinize every parking event and dread coming back to the vehicle...now I tell myself..don't look closely and you won't find what you don't want to see
