New ML550 running boards removal, replace with AMG ground effects
I have this beauty delivered in a couple of weeks. But the running boards are ugly. I want to take them off and replace with ML63AMG "ground effects". Does anybody have a part number for them? I'd like to try and find them myself. Dealer wants $1,700 for the job! Also, do these ground effects come in whatever color you need, or do they need to be painted? Thanks!

Total cost in parts was about $900 and the parts need to be painted by a shop.
Do a search for my question on part numbers and you'll find the schematic with the parts you'll need.i have pics in my album of the job completed

I just looked up all your posts here... Didn't find the part number though. Neither did I see the diagram. Do you mind posting it here again? I really want to get this done. Please tell me the part numbers for the side panels and additional hardware that you mentioned is needed.

Anybody needs my running boards? Preferably in Dallas, TX, because I don't know about shipping a huge box like that. The boards are brand new, will come off of a brand new vehicle in a couple of weeks.

I do, I can do an even swap. My rockers are polar white but you would have to have them painted any way. Like you said shipping would be the biggest pain. I'm in Alabama.

I'll drive through Alabama once I take a delivery on this thing in Dallas. I thought about just selling them as opposed to a swap. And then pay a dealer to do the rest... I see you have a 350. Why are your side skirts white? Aren't they all black for 350 for any color vehicle? I'm going to put side skirts from the ML63 AMG. They are nicer and different from the standard 350 bottom trim.

Title of the thread is "Side skirts on the ML550". Diagram is toward the bottom of the first page.

OK, will post some pictures. But I don't even have the car yet...😭 It will be built this Wednesday. I can't sleep, it's totally driving me crazy!😃I probably shouldn't tell anybody, lol, but I bought a die cast model, it's sitting on my bedside table.

Built in April and you got the car already? It took mine 6 weeks after production to arrive to California

It depends who you know... It took a week and a half after it was built to get from factory to the dealer. But Dallas is a lot closer to the Vance, AL factory than California...
