After reading this I called TIRERACK and the sales guys suggested I try the

I had the stock Contis from the factory. The Bridgestones now have about 500 miles on them. I can comment about everything but the potholes. (Don't have them in Florida). The ride is extremely smooth. Not a hint of vibration. They hold the road much better. I've driven in everything from a light rain to a tropical downpour with confidence, no hydro planing at all. I highly recommend these tires

I can get a great deal on these, does anyone know if this will fit? I would assume it would given the benz can take 21 inch rims?

I think it is in the MB (CUV) design, as the VW Touareg is ALSO designed to run on the "taut side." Dialing back the PSI might put some "cushion" into the equation, but for a whole bunch of reasons, I would not be inclined to solve the SOTP's issue that way. In fact, I run higher PSI's in both. The 14 GLK 250 B/T came with oem run flats (Dunlop Grandtrek's A/S ), which I will definitely NOT replace with run flats. The logic of why some ( mine) has run flats and others seem not to, eludes me.
I bought the scorpion Verde II tires from the tire rack test on smaller lighter vehicles. My mechanic said that they had very soft side walls so that the sidewalls almost kissed before the tires were mounted. I never drove the car until these tires were on it but it feels a little bit like I have rubber knees. They're very quiet I can't really talk to the handling cuz I drove mustangs for 30 years before this monster, but I feel just a little bit of side to side bounce

I put on Michelin (Latatude or Defender) LTX that I purchased from Costco. They were substantially better than the original tires which I then replaced with Michelins (not LTX) and then the LTXs. They are very quiet, smooth, track outstanding, are great in both the snow and rain. Costco's price couldn't be beat and when I picked up a nail in the sidewall driving near some road construction, it cost me about $30 to have the tire replaced
