Alignment @ 1 Year Service
If I recall correctly, I thought I remembered seeing that MB will offer a complimentary wheel alignment upon request at the first service as long as it occurs within 1 year of purchase. I am scheduled for my first maintenance next month and have pre paid maintenance. Any thoughts?

At 1K that all depends on the "goodwill" of the dealer - and frankly for most "larger" dealers are "less likely", smaller and more personal dealers are "bit more likely"..

I had mine checked for the pull to the left only one week after delivery. Not sure why they did not set it right from the factory. No charge to me (just waste of time). And from the warranty booklet it said the wheel alignment and tire balancing are under warranty for 1-year or 12,000 miles.
I think they over-correct it and now the car is pulling to the right a little bit . I don't know why they didn't notice that after test drive and the alignment machine should tell that too.

^this. Any time I've thought I had an alignment issue in a modern vehicle, I'd law at try rotating the tires first to see if it changes. I can't remember the last time I had to have a vehicle aligned but I've had my share of defective tires that would "lead".

I thought about that too but since the car only has less than 500 miles and I tried driving on different type of road (local vs. interstate) and on different lane. It is drifting to the right if I point steering wheel straight ahead in every case.
So, I went back to the dealer today and asked them to recheck the alignment. It turned out the alignment was ok from the work they did 2 days ago, but they had to re-center the steering wheel . Now it is tracking straight as it should. (and no charge - of course)
