Delayed Throttle Response

Hello all,

I'm new to this thread. I recently purchased a 2013 ML 550. Absolutely love the car. The battery died on me for some reason and with no dealer in site I had to change the battery myself. now i have two problems with the car that I can't seem to fix.

1. the throttle has a delay which makes the car difficult to drive specially in traffic.
2. the driver's side window Auto Up is not working anymore. The auto down is fine but for up I have to hold it all the way.

Please let me know how I can fix this myself as there are no dealers in site where I am right now.

The auto up not working is just the window needing calibration again. Just hold the button up (like manual up, not auto up) for 5-10 seconds then release.

Thanks for the input. I tried that but it didn't work. I put the ig key in pos 2. Brought the window all the way down. brought it back up using manual up. held it for like 30 secs. released it. it didn't work. Then I tried disconnecting the battery again, that didn't work either.

What I noticed on my car is that it does not work straight away (not sure if Im doing something wrong). My daughter loves to play with her window so it goes out of calibration quite often (she's 3...). I do as I said, then when I release the switch, the window goes down by an inch or so. Then I close it back and leave the car alone for a little while (not sure what the min time would be, but in my case I do it when I arrive at work and dont have to start the car back for 4 hours or so). When I come back it always works again.
Good luck!

Did you try calling M-B roadside assistance? They should have been able to bring you a battery and install it.

unfortunately no. I even tried unpluging the battery for an hour hoping for a reset but that didn't work either. The window positioning is fine. It's only Automatic up on the drivers side (second click) that doesn't bring the window up automatically. I have to hold it.

Most mercedes are built with delayed throttle response, not like BMW. You can install a third party sprint booster at the fuel pedal that will much cut down the delays. Sprint booster offers two level of response depends how aggressive you want. I have it installed in my ML, C coupe etc, maintenance free, and ECU friendly.
