2014 ML63
Command screen is black ...

On a '14 ML63, the Command screen just went off, when I happened to look at it, except for the digital time displayed in the upper left corner. I can't turn it on by any means that I know of and I thought I'd ask here before I take it over to the dlr. (I tried the "sys", steering wheel and Command buttons.) Thanks.

Try resetting it by holding the command on/off button for around 10 seconds.

Thank you for your suggestion. I did get it back on by holding all three buttons,
separately, for 10 seconds each, but I don't really know which one did it.
Probably the "Command" one.

No problem. I'm glad you got it working.

My 2014 ML has two "Favorite" buttons, one of them turns the screen black, so the screen won't bother with brightness at night. Maybe you pushed that one? In that case, the back button should do "fix" it.
