Service Campaign (engine cover)
Service Campaign 2014070001 AUG14 – 2014 166 AMG plastic cover installed instead of carbon fiber, dealer will replace if necessary. Approximately 234 vehicles affected have dealer check Vehicle Master Inquiry (VMI) to see if VIN is included.

This issue was first communicated internally within MBUSA on December 13th 2013. Took them 8 months to finally admit a widespread QA fiasco and publically announce a service campaign? Impressive!
