Towing Airstream with ML350 V6

I own a 2012 ML350 Gas. I would like to tow my 25' airstream ( wt. 7200, tongue wt 750) with my ML.
I have talked to Andy at Canam about beefing up my factory hitch.
Wonder if anyone has any similar towing experience with or without factory hitch modifications.
Thanks for your replies.

2014 ML350
I tow a 2012 25FB Twin with our 2014 ML350 Bluetec. I drove up to Canam and had the hitch reinforced and the receiver reset. You cannot tow safely without the hitch reinforcement and an equalizer. The load on steep (>5%) long grades in CO is all mine can handle. 45mph in 4th at the top with engine heat rising that requires the interior cabin to be on max heat for the climb. I can't imaging trying it with the gas engine. Unless you are only towing at sea level and fairly flat I would not suggest it at all.
