Well tomorrow is the day I take my baby in. I called last week to set up the appointment and the girls set up a date and told me that my service advisor would call me without fail within 24 hours. Have no heard a single word. I called a few minutes ago just to confirm the appointment and a loaner.
Hoping that have a spare AMG for me to drive the day

sorry to revive an old thread but i'm about to take my wife's 14 ML350 in for its first service. i did not purchase a pre paid maintenance at time of purchase but spoke to the dealership and they told me i can buy a prepaid one before my first service. they are quoting me $1475 + tax for the 4 yr 40 k one. my question is does this service include all the "recommended" stuff? does it make sense to buy or am i simply pre paying for the maintenance? i will ask all those questions when I get there around 4 PM today but it would be good to know before hand. thanks

I also am led to believe that since MBUSA gets to use your not refundable money in advance interest free, the price you pay is a discounted price for those same parts and services paid "a la carte" as you go. The dealer chooses his retail price for this package like everything else he sells... a fixed amount goes to MBUSA since they will be paying the dealer to provide these services to you... but it is an option like any other option you selected.
Check the price at an out of town (rural) dealer's Finance Guy's desk for a one shot "Give me your best price right now on the phone" price to compare with your dealer's price, but remember there isn't a ton and a half of profit between cost and retail on these items... it depends how piggish your area dealerships are.

As I recall, it includes all MBUSA recommended service during the term of the period purchased. Many dealers create their own "Premium" service packages which contain extra services not part of your maintenance responsibilities to MBUSA to add extra profit for them which they will present to you at the time of service. While these extra services usually "can't hurt", they are not part of your responsibility to MBUSA.
damn, they ought to offer you prepaid gas and detailing as well. prepaid tires?
If you package it, someone will buy it.

Think of how great it is for MBUSA to get you locked in to paying for service you'll never use, and if you finance, rolling that amount into the financed portion of a vehicle.

I bought the tire/wheel warranty on my leased '13 ML350BT. They told me at the time that when I turn in the car at the end of the lease that I won't have to worry about any scratches on the wheels or problems with the tires.
I have already used it several times as it covers road hazard (non pro-rated) on the tires. Have had a couple replaced and one wheel replaced also. Money well spent for me.

Sorry, I was tied up... the best "value" in MB preapid service is to buy the 30K/3-pack - AFTER - the 10K service and BEFORE the 20K service..
The 30K/3-pack when purchased AFTER 10K and BEFORE 20K gives you the 20K-30K-40K service which is B-A-B+/40K for same price as 10/20/30 which is a A-B-A..
I understand kindof a numbers thing .. but the best "value".

Hi
I am buying 2015 c300.
I am wondering if I should take prepaid maintenance? Can you kindly give some inputs on that?
My dealer said I will spend as below for first four services:
1st$262.212nd$662.003rd$262.214th$772.41
Total: $1,958.83 and the prepaid maintenance is 1275$.
It looks obvious for me to buy. Are there any catches?
Thanks

You plan on doing all maintenance at the dealership anyway rather than an independent shop.
You are losing .9% interest annually by not leaving it in a savings account, or even much more interest by not paying down your revolving credit account.
Its worth it to MB to give you a break, just to keep you coming to them for service.

The "catch" to save more money is this - buy a 3-pack AFTER your 1st 10K/A service - purcahsing 10K/A a la carte - then buying 3-pack which will cover 20/30/40 will SAVE you more money..
