ML350 Parking Sensors

Hey...I'm a total MB newb and have a simple question. Does the rear view camera in the Premium Package for the 2015 ML350 include rear distance sensors? If not, what option would I need to add to my build? I"m really just looking for the feature where a tone is heard when you get too close to an object. I can't really find an answer on the MBUSA site.

Thanks!

Either the $1200 Parking assist package which also gives you surround view cameras or the stand alone Parktronic option which is just the radar sensors for a little less.

If you can get a hold of a brochure all the stand alone options and option packages are explained in the back. I think you can download the new brochure now at MBUSA.com

Good luck with hearing the rear sensors, they're almost inaudible.

And based on dealer feedback, no the volume cannot be increased, but the tone can be changed by the techs.

My car has parktronic and I too have noticed that when I am reversing and approaching an object I do not hear any warning. Wish it was audible.

Haven't tried the 2014 but my 2010 gives me tone when I back up to hook up a trailer. It's a different tone than the front one. It's lower and much harder to hear. And you have to get much closer to the rear than the front to start setting it off

I have parktronic and the noise when reversing is very audible. Maybe the dealer can adjust it?

My W166 rear parktronic is nearly inaudible. I wonder if the volume can be programmed?

Also its very annoying that the radio volume doesn't go down when the parktronic is (faintly) beeping...

The dealer cannot bc they don't have the necessary rights on their Star Diagnosis. But I can do it.

Like I just said, I can change the volume from 0-100%

I'm too far away from MB Retrofits, so I went to my local dealer and they increased the volume to 100%. Better, but a little bit higher would be even better.
