Service A0 at 50000km - disappointed

Hi

I have an ongoing dispute with my workshop.

The car is a year 2012 w166 with the 350 M276 engine. The odo has just passed 50.000km, and the car was due service AO.

Due to my experience with this workshop earlier I laid down two "hair straw" on top of oil filler cap, and under the plastic cowling. the "low coolant" message in the instrument cluster had been showing for couples of weeks, but intentionally not been refilling due to the upcoming service, and the tire pressure showing from the tire with leat pressure 2.7 to the tire with most pressure showing 3.3.

When i picked up my car the first thing that illuminated in my face was the "low coolant" message. Irritating. I opened up the hood, and the hair still there. Strange. After driving some meters the TMP showed the excactly same values. Very irritating.

My conclusion is that they have not done anything to the car.

But. I sent them an email, asked for the report because i was disappointed in the way it had turned out.

They wrote back that engine oil was changed, coolant physically checked ok, and they had missed the tire pressure, and apologized.

In the service paper i cannot see anything that actually shall cover the low coolant message, and to correct tire pressure.

Can somebody help me out with a actual service schedule for this car, this milage, at this age?

Does anyone have some thoughts on how to carry this onward? is it me that is paranoid, or is it the workshop that has not fulfilled their obligations here?

Thank you

It certainly looks like they are cheating you.

Have you pulled the dipstick? I can tell if it is 10K oil of newer oil. They should have changed the filter if the oil was changed.

My dealership has camera on your vehicle while in service so they can go back and see what was done and not done.

When you say "your workshop", is that a MB dealer?

SERVICE ML

https://mbworld.org/forums/new-m-cla...r-filters.html

The service schedule for a 2014 ML is in the thread above. "They" won't allow me to download it again in this thread. I got the service schedule from the MB USA site months ago.

I've had the 10,000, 20,000 and 30K service done and each time they give me a check sheet similar to what you'll find in the document I suggested you look at and the mechanic makes a check next to each item he is supposed to check. I use Park Place Mercedes in Ft Worth and they do a fine job on the whole.

Very frustrating. I had a similar experience where work was not completed as promised. Here is the thread with my story... https://mbworld.org/forums/new-m-cla...ml#post5958315

No, I have not checked the dipstick, that is the reason i pay a mbdealer. so i do not need to

I shall do it this weekend, and report back with a pic.

it seems like it turned out ok for you. like a dealer should behave. then you might buy your next vehicle there.

I am almost certain i will never give them a dime either for service or for a new vehicle. this is my 4th "expensive" mb, but the lust for a new one has been killed by this unprofessional behavior.

Contact MB Norway Corporate or Daimler/MB in Stuttgart. They must have a Customer Relations Department.
