Thinking about a new winter tire package for my ML400
Hi all. I'm new to the ML. I recently purchased a 2015 ML400 for my wife. I'm located in the north east (NJ) and winter can get pretty bad sometimes so I'm thinking about getting a winter tire and wheel package and hoping you guys can help answer a question or two.
1. My car came w the 20" AMG wheels. Does anyone know the exact size of this factory wheel?
A. 20x9.5
B. 20x10
C. Other
2 wondering what's better for snow
A. 265/45R20
B. 275/45R20
Tirerack suggests 265 which is what my factory setup is but the place I may buy from asked my why not 275? So it got me thinking.
Also, the offset on those wheels is +50. Do you guys think that would look too tucked in or would that be about flush?
I tried looking on the rim itself but didn't see a sticker w those stats anywhere. I'm concerned because the package I am looking at is for 20x9.5" reps of the ML63 AMG wheels. And since some of you may ask, I'm going to stick w a 20" package because I like the looks. I know I could get a smaller diameter wheel and more rubber but I want to stick w 20s.
Lastly, I can't find Bridgestone Blizaks in my size, so I'm probably going to end up w the Pirelli Scorpion Winter. Anyone have any other recommendations?
Thanks in advance.

Here's mine...sounds like what you're interested in..these are stock MB 20" wheels with Pirelli Snow and Ice..if you can run studs I'd really recommend the last pic of the Hakkapallita 8's...I got the Pirelli's last year an the 8's only became available here this year so I got a set for my wife's RX350 and 2 daughters cars. They are available in 20"..and also always stick to the narrower tire for winter use...gl

Nanook, thanks for the reply. Much appreciated.
1st, I hate when you post because I love your car so much that I wish it was mine, hahaha.
2nd, thank you for the suggestions. Are your 20" actual AMG or are they Replicas? Do you know the width of those? And yes, I know narrower is better for snow, I just want to make sure that they clear my brakes.
3rd, I don't think I'm allowed to run studs so I have to go with the best studless I can find. I was hoping for Bridgestone Blizaks as I've had them before on a RWD car and it made it drive like it was AWD in the winter but they don't seem to make it in the size I'm looking for.
Thanks again and your car is awesome. How's that G-Techniq Exo holding up? I loved mine because it gave the best shine of all the coatings I've tried. I have Optic-coat on my white ML this time around.
