Anybody running 265/50/19 tires?

Time is nearing when I'll need to buy some new tires for my 2013 ML550. I'm running stock 255/50/19 Contis, but am strongly considering going with the slightly larger 265/50/19 size. Doing so would increase the tread width by 9/10 of an inch and the tire diameter by 4/10 inch. Seems to me the larger tire would look better in the wheel well of the ML and last a tad bit longer (fewer RPMs per mile). Cost differential between the two sizes is negligible.

Does anybody have this 265mm tire on their ML, and if so, will you share your observations and experiences?

Well, it appears nobody is running this larger 19" tire.

Does anybody think this is a bad idea? The load rating of the 265mm tire is 110XL, so slightly higher than the 255's 107XL. That's a good thing. Looking at the well known online tire dealer and focusing on Michelin Latitude Tour HP, I can get V rated 265s for $8 less (set of 4) than H rated 255s. Seems like a winner to me, given the UTOG rating stays the same. Bigger tire. Better look. Am I missing something?

i dont see how this is gonna be an issue. However you will get slightly decreased mileage due to the larger tire and the overall car height increase. You will also get slightly slower acceleration. I wouldnt take that just to save 8 bucks, but if you feel the bigger wheels will look better, then go for it!
