2014 ML350 Bluetec,2012 C300 4matic sport
I just took delivery of a 2014 ML350 BT and am getting 29 city. Took a quick 650 mile round trip journey from my home in upstate NY to my parents home in Pittsburgh. I got 33. Did not push it too hard. This is my 3rd ML and my first diesel. It is quite mountainous where I live so I am expecting the mileage may not get to what you are experiencing. None the less, I agree with you that the numbers are impressive when you consider the weight of this vehicle and the fact it is 4matic. I do love the torque.

We have a 250BT, if the budget permits it and you prefer a bit more power and are not as concerned with mpg, buy the 350BT. If for nothing else they come with heaps more fruit (features), at least they do in Australia. I wish we'd waited and got a 350.

My ML400 is getting about 18.1 MPG. I was hoping for better gas mileage but it is what it is. Driving consists of about 60/40 highway/city. Love the car.

Very impressive! Keep in mind the MB computer is about 10% off on the positive side. At least that has been my experience over the last 8 years and two ML's where I track every tank on fuelly.com. Maybe over the next few fill ups do a manual calculation (miles divided by gallons) and see how it compares to the computer. Need to do multiple tanks to really figure out the accuracy (or use fuelly which does it for you). My all time MPG on my 550 is 17.0 so you are doubling that it looks like.

On a recent 75 mile trip i was surprised to see 38.8 mpg on my ML350, this was all motorway driving. Normally i see 33 mpg which i think is very good for such a large vehicle.

Wow, what speed were you driving and how many passenger(s) in the car. I just did a 700 mile roundtrip from RI to PA, with only one 12-mile stretch of stop-and-go, and the trip computer showed a little over 27mpg. This was traveling @ 70-75mph with full load gear and myself + 2 others. The window sticker for the 350BT indicates 28 mpg for highway.

That's why I'm so surprised with my 250BT, the sticker shows 22 city and 29 highway. I didn't mention that I'm over 600 miles on this tank and averaging 33.1 mpg.

Just myself and a passenger plus a large suitcase. I cant remember what the average speed for the trip was but i didn't go over 70mph, it was a relatively sedate journey.

I see you are from the UK. Are actually reporting Miles Per Gallon. Isn't you gauge reading in KM and LT.? In the US the AMG is rated at under 20 mpg. Just curious.

I think the person may be converting this from litres to gallons, but using the wrong formula. Many have been surprised to learn that there are 2 conversions, one with US gallons, and 1 with Imperial gallons! The latter formula gives a much 'higher' readout...

No conversion required, my ML is setup for imperial measures. I was very surprised witn the 38.8 mpg reading, normally on a motorway run i get about 33 - 35 mpg. What does 38.8 UK mpg convert to in US mpg?

EDIT.......... just worked out that 38.8 UK is approx. 32 US mpg.
