Greetings. I just picked up a 2015 M350. I realized after that it doesn't come with the ambient lighting as standard. We had a E350 before and I really liked the ambient lighting. Does anyone know if it can be added or if there are any aftermarket products available? I'm pretty handy, so I din't mind a little work to do it, just not sure what, if anything, is available.

Congrats on your new car. Sorry to hear that the new car doesn't have ambient lighting options. Unfortunately I can't help you further on how to fix this. But I would have taken the time during test drive to see if the new car has all the options you want. Yes, you can't check all features in every car you test drive and it's stressful also when the salesman is trying to cut a deal. Whatever you end up doing, make sure you don't void the warranty on electrical items. Good luck.

i just think its lame that it isnt a standard feature, i dont understand how on the 2014 W212 it has it and how the W166 doesnt.. oh well..

Me personally ive seen a lot of the W166's with the lighting package have the ambient lights in it, from what ive researched, but its what it is.. i valued the HK7 system more important than that ambient lights, dark with pounding bass at night time hahaha..
