New ML550!
Hello all,
I've been lurking here for quite some time and want to thank everyone for the wealth of information on this site.
About 7 years ago I was the proud owner of a 2005 CLK500 'Sport' and my father is a long time AMG owner and performance car enthusiast as well, dating back to his first E55 in '99.
Family life prevented me from driving the type of car I really wanted for the past several years but I'm finally able to come back to the dark side.
My new baby is a 2012 ML550 with 33k miles. As of now, my plan is to go with the full Renntech ECU tune and BMC air filter as soon as possible, and I'll consider the sport mufflers in the future as well (I know there have been a couple horror stories with these but I'm sure they make up a small percentage of their installs). Only other immediate plan is for matching front window tints this week.
I've attached a few pictures

I have a 13' ML550, it has cross drilled front and rear rotors. Have them checked threembs, when the dealership replaced my rears due to warping they put on the rotors from the 350 by mistake. I noticed and after correcting the service manager they put on the correct rotors for the 550.
Dmartin, PM me if you want a few videos of the sport mufflers.

Thanks all
threeMBs, please let us know if you touch base with the dealership on your rears. Would find it odd if they went back to solid rear rotors on the '14 550s

I got rid of those Bluefficiency badges on the front sides about an hour after I picked up mine 3 years ago. They make sense on the diesels but not a biturbo V8!!
A hairdryer, a little dental floss and some goo gone. Bye bye!

Yup, I plan to take mine off too - Hair dryers work incredibly well.
I'm seriously considering replacing them with the V8 Biturbo badges. I'm sure people have feelings both ways but I couldn't care less about those who think it shouldn't be done. I would never dream of mislabeling a vehicle an AMG, or M, or whatever else, but this truck IS a V8 biturbo, and especially after my tune I may want to reflect that.
