ML-350 steering wheel adjustment failure

Vertical adjustment, including the "Easy In/Out" feature, has failed. In/out adjustment still works. It's stuck in the "up" position. Ideas? Possible cost of repair?

2015 ML350 Bluetec
I would suggest picking up a 'used' steering column! About $250>$300 at www.car-part.com. I would 1st verify whether in fact the elec motor driving the up/down motion is dead, or just lacking power/broken wire, fuse, connector! My guess is at $500.+ with labour included to get it replaced with a decent Independent mechanic. Hey, it may be as little as $75. if something stupid like a loose connector. You don't list your vehicle year(mileage, etc), so hard to evaluate....

A gaggle of MB's
Whay year ML ? The reason I ask is a 2012 ML350 which is 1st year W166 with 32K miles "should" be covered under MBUSA warranty... if a earlier year please repost on W164 forum for their feedback
