Personally i wouldn't bother with the passenger memory seat or the lane tracking, i had both in an Audi and in my experience no one ever used the memory on the passenger seat and the lane tracking was annoying so i turned it off.

How about ventilated seats? I wish my ML had them.

Lastly, how about the trailer hitch? Nice to have and much cheaper to get when ordered versus adding it later.

Lane tracking is "free" for 2016. I agree the lane monitoring sucks but i do like the blind spot monitor
Passenger lumbar and memory is 300 bucks so i added it
I wanted ventilated seats but for 2200 (leather plus vented option) it wasnt worth it to me.

Trailer hitch - never towed in my life

Does AMG pkg include airmatic?

Yes, what used to be the optional lane tracking pkg is now std equip. I would double check the ordering guide on the ventilated seats. Not 100% sure but I think leather is no longer required, can be had w/ MB-tex as well. As for the trailer hitch, it's a cheap enough option to get even if you don't have any immediate plans for towing. Not having it can be a deal breaker down the line as it's a ridiculous cost to try to add it later. Also, at some point you might find it useful for something else like a bike rack, cargo carrier.

Tow package is a smart buy. Low cost and super useful for a bike rack. Plus selling a diesel with an OEM tow hitch will be much easier because many diesel buyers like to tow. Plus, the tow hitch adds additional rear end collision protection. No brainer.

I've heard that you can now get it with MBTEX but netstar prevented the order. Adding 401 required leather... could push the issue but I think the build is locked now.

Not sure I agree about the trailer hitch/rear collision protection.

Which exterior color?

I'm in southwest US - no need for rear heated seats.
Also, I went for the Open Pore Brown Ash Wood Trim.
I find the running boards dysfunctional, but I like the way they look

I would personally order driver assist pkg for every MB. A car this well equipped especially deserves it. I think it's far more valuable than the cosmetic stuff that add up a lot of money. To each his own though.

It is a cool option. However is a very poor investment because you will get very little back, if anything at all, in terms of resale.

I have it but almost never use it.

Hmm... mine was a CPO with 6k kms??? I insisted on looking for a vehicle with that option(along with many other options) and I love it. I'll say this.... if I felt an option is something good for me, then resale would be one of the last reasons to do without. Perhaps you're right... a CPO vehicle with Driver's Assist, will usually be a 'well-optioned' car!

I omitted driver assist because I do very little highway driving. If I did more highway driving, I may have more strongly considered the package for the DISTRONIC PLUS with Steering Assist item included in this package.

I appreciate all the standard safety features (see below) including as well the now included with P1 the LANE KEEPING ASSIST. I appreciate these warnings and also the radar-based COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS included as standard. But maybe I'm old school, but I prefer to drive the car myself to respond to these warnings.

I also omitted the multi-contour seat also because of my limited highway driving.

My next dollar if I spent it probably would have been on the ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM or to get the massage seats for my ten minute commute.

STANDARD SAFETY FEATURES
ATTENTION ASSIST®
The first system of its kind, ATTENTION ASSIST continuously monitors different parameters of driving behavior, and can automatically alert the driver with both visual and audible warnings if it detects signs of drowsiness on long trips.
PRE-SAFE PLUS
An enhancement to the groundbreaking PRE-SAFE® system helps protect the occupants in a rear-end collision. A radar sensor in the rear bumper helps detect an impending impact, engaging the features of PRE-SAFE to better prepare the front-seat occupants and their restraint systems. It can also firmly apply and hold the brakes, to help reduce peak loads on all occupants as well as the risk of a secondary collision.
PRE-SAFE
Another Mercedes-Benz safety breakthrough, PRE-SAFE® can detect instability during certain vehicle maneuvers that suggest a collision or rollover is imminent. It can then tighten the seat belts, adjust the occupied front passenger seat, and close the side windows, all in an effort to better prepare the occupants in the moments before a collision. If no accident occurs, you simply readjust your seat, reopen the windows, and continue on your way.
COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS
Radar-based technology alerts you if you're approaching a vehicle ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. As soon as the driver starts to brake, its Adaptive Brake Assist automatically provides the ideal level of braking, to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. The system can also provide autonomous braking from speeds up to 65 mph, and can activate the features of PRE-SAFE®.

Some love it, some never use it. In either case, it isn't a good investment. However, it may be a good buy for people who love it.

I got polar white. Wanted to get AMG but decided against it.

I omitted driver assist thanks to standard collision assist. I have active cruise on my bmw and rarely use it...frustrates me

I tried to order active curve but the dealer said i couldnt get it on the diesel. Anyone else have such luck?

MY17 E43 Matte Selenite/Macchiato Beige, MY16 GLE350d Tenorite/Crystal Grey, MY17 B250
DISTRONIC!!

Also hitch as mentioned, resale, rear impact, bike rack all good reasons even if you don't tow.
