Blind spot with trailer

When I connect my small enclosed MC trailer I get a message saying "Blind Spot temporarily unavailable see your owners manual". I can't find anything in the manual about Blind Spot and Trailering. I'm I just S.O.L.?

No help here, so I called MBUSA and was told what I was afraid of. When towing a trailer no Blind Spot. Just disable it.

As soon as you hook up the electric plug for the trailer the blind spot feature it is deactivated. This is normal. I believe the reason is because the trailer it Is too close to the car and would interfere with the sensors.
