I did a search and as far as I can tell, no one had found a fuse in the dash that was hot only with ignition. If someone has since figured it out, please let me know.

My V1 came with an in circuit fuse. Fed power wire down A pillar & into 12V plug in center console. This plug is controlled by ignition switch.This was done by my local tech in about 20 min. He has done this in several MB's I have owned. Never a problem.
NOTE My tech has a special tool to fish the wire down the A pillar so not to set off the airbag.
