Wind noise !

When some one opens to rear window I can hardly bear the wind noise ,Its like a flapping sound and hurts the ears.
Any one notice this problem in ML350 2014.

Yup. It's like a baffling sound. It didn't happen on our '06. But it did on our '09 and our '13.
It isn't isolated to just MB. Wife's '14 Lexus IS baffles as well. Like a low resonance sound. Freakin annoying.

Same thing on my 2012 ML350 gas version. A flapping sound that is very bothersome.

Be cautious, you can really get hurt!
Neck pain, jaw infection, ear infection hence hearing loss!

Nothing wrong with any car design. This is a result of the law of physics in action.

Its definitely due to car design. In the '50s and '60s cars mostly didn't have a/c and the windows were always rolled down. The buffeting noises of today were not present then.

In making the cars more efficient/aerodynamic, engineers had to redirect the air moving around and over the car. The result is today's buffeting. Most people nowadays drive with the windows up and the a/c on so the noise isn't really a problem for most.

I would trade not having the windows down for A/C & the other improvements.

It's not a perfect world we live in.

crack another window down a bit and it will go away, or vent the sunroof.

Even the $200,000 Porsche 911 suffers from this...an aftermarket fix is available that fastens to the side mirror base to re-direct air flow..like a miniature airfoil
