Time to say Goodbye.
Never thought that this day would come. Have owned 35 MB's since 1971. Am now 85+ so I don't travel as much-but thank the Lord that I still have good health.
Traded my ML for (gasp) a 2016 loaded Hyundai Tuscon Limited. Truely an unbelievable car. DblClutch 7 speed tranny 1.6 Turbo & more electronics than I will ever use & 30+ mpg. All for a little over $30k.(Even a huge pano roof). I am not trying to convert anyone, but in my situation I have cut almost all my car expenses by 1/2. Probably will only drive 6-8k mi/yr. Comes a time when grim reality sets in.
I will still monitor this forum. Maybe I can still contribute something useful.
I want to thank everyone who has helped me along the way. This is THEE BEST MB FORUM!

I looked at a Santa fee Ltd , I found no comparison in the two. The ML is great in the wind, build quality fuel economy (bluetek) and dealer service above and beyond. Not the dealer in Newmarket, which should be a Chucky Cheese store as it is Mickey Mouse , but the dealer in Peterbourgh Ont. for all the Toronto people on this forum.
Good luck with your car , I am only 68 and hope to drive for many years

Mr. (85) Kid,
Good luck with your new car..as we all know a car is simply a tool and if said tool delivers the service it was intended to then one would be a happy owner regardless of niceties...all the rest is simply topping..
Enjoy your Tuscon in good health

2015 ML 350
Sounds perfectly reasonable. Its not a "Grim Reality" as much as you don't need the "status", white glove service, and all the free coffee and amenities at the MB dealership.
I went from a fully loaded '07 E550 to a 15 ML that was carefully ordered to give me just what I needed and nothing I didn't "need". My next car will be a Toyota or Lexus to save even more.
I'm 66, and there is NO new money coming in, just what I saved/invested over the years and its got to last 'till I go, and it would also be nice to help out my very good "kids" along the way.
Times change and needs change.
Enjoy the new ride!

My wife chose a 2015 Hyundai Sonata Limited for her new car earlier this year and we both love it. Under $35,000 on the road and it has all the tech goodies we could ever want.
Enjoy the new wheels!

I living in Florida and sow lots of accidents on the roads, for my opinion Coreans do built those cars from foil. My wife set she never gonna drive those cars no metter on electronics,or equipment and price, safety first.
