Smile Christmas came early this year! Sad to be leaving...

Picked up a new toy the other week. 2016 F85 X5M. Such a beast. Much of an upgrade coming from an ML550.
My family has been MB brand loyal for the past 10-12yrs. Nothing personal, nor do i have any gripes about the GLE63 we were looking at, just wanted to try a new family truck.

Not leaving MB all together, my sister and other family members are still driving "The best or nothing".

I'm excited to try out the "Ultimate driving machine" for now.

Don't regret anything. You will gain a new appreciation of what it means to drive and not just go somewhere! Take a look at your tire size and find your options; you're going to need new tires in about 10k miles. Speaking from experience.

Somehow the new X series of BMW looks more nicer to look at. I prefer the look of the X5 with the M package vs a ML with a sport package (here it comes....haters! LOL!). If it was just me I should be driving a X5 and not a ML but the other half is a die-hard MB person so I don't really have a choice.

I left too. also came from an ML550. I still liked that car but the new Cayenne GTS just drove so well. It does not feel like a big SUV at all. Even thought the ML550 had a big engine it still felt big. Its engine rumble was nice though, but the Porsche has nice sportier exhaust tone, just not as loud an engine. Spec wise with horse power and torque the GTS beats the brawny ML.

Congrats! Long time BMW fan here but my wife likes MB, so we have one of each. Tried to get her into an F15 but no dice. It's amazing what you can do in the X5 & X6 M trucks, even matching or beating M3/C63 numbers.

Nice. We were looking at the Cayenne GTS too, but the numbers in terms of performance checked all the marks on the X5M! Hows the Cayenne treating you?
