Auto door lock question

Can someone confirm how your auto lock function?

My door locks after I put in gear and starting driving once it reach certain speed but if I unlock it, it will remain unlock even after stop at the traffic light and vehicle moving again I will need to manually lock it through the central locking system the Autolock won't lock after its first lock when startup.

I don't think my other MB does that is the W166 designed differently or there is an issue with mine?

I have 2 ML's. That is exactly how it's supposed to operate.

Thank you for your post.

So you are saying after locking the doors once it reached 15km/h if you unlock it it will never lock again if the driver's door never open and you need to manually lock it through the central lock system even your passenger get off (without opening the driver's door)?

The manual lock / unlock functionality overrides the auto-lock feature. Once you manually unlock it, it will not lock by itself again when you start moving until you completely turn off the engine.
